Unusual Churches

Is there a God? This must be the most popular and most often asked question of all times. Well, I can’t help you there, sorry. This is not about religion, it’s about architecture. Not just architecture, but unusual architecture, and to be more exact – unusual churches. I am sure that there are hundreds and thousands of beautiful churches around the world, but only very few are so odd, that you would definitely take a camera and take a picture.

V10 Dodge Tomahawk

There seems to be a lot of discussions about what is the fastest motorcycle in the world, but actually there is not that much to discuss. The Dodge Tomahawk might be a concept model, but it is almost twice as fast as the second fastest motorcycle in the world (Ducati Desmosedici RR). The Dodge Tomahawk is powered by a V10 engine from a Dodge Viper sportscar. The engine gives it 500 hp (373 kw) and a supposed topspeed around 675 km/h (420 mph).

Train Surfing

Train surfing is a dangerous and usually illegal thrill-seeking activity which involves riders clinging or “surfing” on the outside of a moving train while trying to avoid falling off during its acceleration. Practitioners are usually young people under 25. Potential accidents include collisions with poles and viaducts/tunnels, electrocution from an electrified overhead wire or third rail, injury when falling/jumping off, getting run over by the train itself, and getting crushed between the train and a station platform.

Horse Surfing

Early in 2005 the Independent horse, working with The Company of Horsemen and Matt Smith from Air Jam of Newquay, were the first in the world to tow a kite board behind a horse. This was the birth of horse surfing.

Wicker Chopper

Now this is something you don’t see every day, a wicker motorcycle with bamboo frame and forks, no less. This motorcycle made from woven baskests is a really nice juxtaposition of materials and function. Driving this might be a challenge, but at least it can hold a lot of stuff as a home shelving unit. I think I’ll let the pictures say it all.
